There were ten of us now.
We had stayed somewhere. Two days from now will be nine full moons since we found this place. Longer by far than I could ever have imagined staying anyplace. Nine full moons of comfort and security in a place that had been forgotten. We found it in the mountains, hidden behind boulders balanced high above a sheer drop to jagged death. The hatch was open just a crack and one of our dogs sniffed it out. Inside we found riches the likes of which wars had been fought over...
